Years ago, I created this site so that people from my past, present and future would have a way of contacting me as I've come to realise over time that life is not a test run. "Time is my only enemy" as Hanshi so eloquently put it. A while back, I got confronted with the harsh reality when one of my friends passed away which I can't seem to shake off. The last time I saw him we had several drinks together at Heathrow airport, as we coincidently ended up flying to New York on the same day, on the same plane. I can't explain how weird it felt afterwards flying to NY, being in the same bar and realising he's not around anymore to talk to, or ask for advice... It made me value how lucky I am to be here...
By day I work at the Media Innovation Group (MIG) as its Operations Manager. Meaning I get involved in most areas of the business, be it ad operations, analytics, reporting or product. Throughout my career I was lucky enough to have travelled quite a bit to places like Brussels, Copenhagen, Malmo, New York and even São Paulo where I was 'living' for 6 weeks and working in Microsoft's offices in Torre Norte. You could argue I'm a workaholic, but it's very hard to 'switch off' when making career, successfully running project after project, and wanting to be the best is what drives you to do crazy hours. I do love travelling and so far I've visited over a dozen countries, but I really want to see the world.
At home, I enjoy the company of my devilish cat and my amazing girlfriend. I spent most of my time browsing the web for knowledge (TED!), working on some project (probably while my vintage Sansui QRX-2000 4-channel receiver, hooked up to a pair of wooden BOSE speakers, is playing some wicked tunes), playing a game or watching a good blu-ray if I'm not out and about. On the road you'll often find me reading a book, some industry whitepaper or studying.
